What's guywiththebike all about?I'm a new media developer living in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. I create everything from unique graphic design to rich, interactive, browser-based, internet applications. I utilize 8 years of graphic, user-interface, and web design/development experience. I strive to produce unique products that blur the lines between pretty and functional. My previous role as Art Director at the OPTIMUS Corporation (Their current site was developed/designed by their current personnel...see my version here) kept me busy with a variety of roles. I managed all web systems and also provided art direction and creation. One project that I am particularly proud of during my time at OPTIMUS is the GUI re-design of FED LOG - the most widely distributed federal logistics database system. A User Interface Engineer and myself redesigned this interface from the ground-up. The interface and design were so well received that the design themes will be utilized on all future Department of Defense products. My technical accomplishments include the creation of a multitude of professional web sites; from simplistic informational sites to easy-to-use, full-featured e-commerce and intranet systems. Leveraging a unique balance of marketing and development skills, I have helped businesses build on their solid reputations to bring professional new media that represents professional results. I'm different than the average web developer...I employ a customer-centric approach to design and development. I conduct extensive information gathering before any design or development commences. I work closely with organizations to ensure that the company's goals are established, the needs are met, and the product is built with the appropriate industry in mind.
